Part-Time Alim Course


The Talimudin & Part-Time Alim Course at Darul Uloom Fremont is a comprehensive program designed to provide students with a deep understanding of Islamic knowledge and equip them with the necessary skills to navigate the challenges of the modern world. This course is ideal for individuals who are seeking a flexible learning option to pursue their studies in Islamic sciences while managing other commitments. Currently we are restructuring this course and will start this course starting August

Course Timings:
The course is structured to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals and students. It typically spans several years, allowing students to progress at a comfortable pace. Classes are held in the evenings, providing flexibility for those with daytime responsibilities.


Tuesdays and Thursdays - 7:30pm to 9:00pm (PST) 
Saturdays and Sundays - 7:30am to 9:00am (PST)


Course Curriculum:
The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects, enabling students to develop a solid foundation in Islamic sciences. Key areas of study include:

Quranic Studies: In-depth study of the Quran, including Tafsir (exegesis), and understanding the linguistic and contextual aspects of the verses.

Hadith Sciences: Exploring the prophetic traditions, studying the collection, authenticity, and interpretation of Hadith literature.

Fiqh (Jurisprudence): Understanding the principles and practical application of Islamic law, including the fiqh of worship, transactions, family law, and more.

Arabic Language: Developing proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding classical Arabic, enabling students to delve into the original Islamic texts.

Aqeedah (Creed): Studying the core beliefs of Islam, grounding students in the principles of faith and the foundations of Islamic theology.

Seerah (Biography of the Prophet): Exploring the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), gaining insight into his exemplary character and the historical context of Islam.

Contemporary Issues: Addressing the challenges and misconceptions faced by Muslims in the modern world, providing students with the tools to navigate these issues effectively.

Teaching Methodology:
Our experienced instructors utilize a variety of teaching methods to ensure a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. This includes lectures, interactive discussions, group activities, research projects, and practical application of knowledge.
